Preview. This is what prints. Empty fields are left off.

Still unpaid after the friendly reminder? The payment reminder maker and the payment reminders page have the firm and final versions. For the job-done summary and thank-you texts, see job wrap-up and invoice. After they pay, ask for a review with the free review link and QR code generator. Scope changed mid-job? Put it in writing first with the free change order maker. See all seven on the free tools page.
What a house cleaning invoice should include
Every invoice needs your business details, the customer, an invoice number, the dates, the line items, the total, and the balance due. The invoice maker above handles those. These are the lines that matter most for house cleaning work:
- Visit dates. List each cleaning date on the line, especially for regular clients you bill every two weeks or once a month.
- Type of clean and home size. Standard, deep, or move-out, and the size (3 bed / 2 bath). It ties the price to what you agreed on.
- Add-ons as separate lines. Inside the oven, fridge, windows, laundry, or extra rooms each get a line, so the base price stays the same visit to visit.
- Next visits. Put the next dates in the job notes so the invoice doubles as a schedule reminder.
- Supplies. Say whether you bring supplies or use the client's. If you charge for special products, list them.
- Cancellation and redo policy. A short line on late cancellations and how you handle a missed spot heads off most disputes.

House cleaning invoice questions
What should a house cleaning invoice include?
Your business name and phone, the client and home address, an invoice number and date, and the due date. Then each visit with its date and type of clean, add-ons on their own lines, the total, any deposit paid, and the balance due. Add the next visit dates, your redo and cancellation policy, and how the client can pay.
How do I invoice recurring cleaning clients?
Pick one rhythm and stick to it: after each visit, every two weeks, or once a month for that month's visits. Put each visit date on the invoice and list add-ons separately. Many cleaners bill one-time cleans right after the visit and bill regular clients monthly with Net 7 terms.
Should I charge for late cancellations or lockouts?
Many cleaning businesses charge a fee when a client cancels with less than 24 to 48 hours' notice or no one lets them in, often part or all of the visit price. Put the policy in writing when the client books, then list the fee on the invoice as its own line if it applies.
Do I charge sales tax on cleaning services?
It depends on your state. A few states tax cleaning services and many don't, and some treat home and commercial cleaning differently. Check with your state's tax agency or your accountant, then enter the rate in the tax box if you need to.
